Tom and Vida Neal were the undisputed pioneers in making Concan a family vacation destination in Texas. They literally built the vacation industry here, starting with rustic cabins and the famous Neal’s Dining Room, where you can still sink your teeth into Vida’s famous chicken fried steak.

After almost a century of change, Tom and Vida Neal’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren are keeping alive the tradition of welcoming family and friends to Concan and the Frio River.
